Our venue for this yoga retreat is a country house bed and breakfast located in the peaceful Umbria hills between Gubbio and Perugia. Prominently situated on a ridge which stretches into the centre of the valley commands fine views over its 28 hectares of gardens, terraced lawns and woodland, this luxury, boutique hotel accommodation is immersed in nature. Enjoy green hills, gardens, silence, and extreme relaxation in the wellness centre with salt water swimming pool, jacuzzi spa and massage facilities.
The country house has 10 rooms, each equally fresh and silent, and each unique from one another. The furnishings adorning every room were all hand-picked and brought back one by one from many distant journeys made by Paola and Irish, the owners. There is no television, and nothing to disturb the peace and tranquility.
Stroll at leisure through the olive grove, inhale the scent of roses and herbs, or simply curl up with a book under the shade of the old elm tree. The gardens hold many hidden gems and secret corners for you to discover. In one, an ecological chlorine-free swimming pool, encircled by comfortable sun loungers and close by the sybaritic delight of an outdoor Jacuzzi whirlpool spa. Or descend a few steps to enter the Moorish style spa, let your tensions slip away in the Turkish bath and then immerse yourself in a cloud of cool, refreshing, mint scented water, before heading for the peace of the salon overlooking the verdant landscape to sip a tisane, read a book, or revive yourself under the hands of our masseuse.

A GYPSET Yoga Retreat with Melissa and Laurel was exactly what my corporate mama soul needed to ensure I was refreshed and re-energized after a long year of work, building teams, and deadlines. It was the perfect mix of connectedness with the other attendees, a peaceful time on my mat, and good workouts that challenged my mind and body. The organic from-scratch meals were another way to nourish and replenish, and I’m so grateful for this time away with the beautiful leadership of Melissa and Laurel. This is the best investment I’ve made for myself this year and cannot wait for my next retreat!

Perfect! We will match you with a compatible solo traveler with whom you are comfortable. Private accommodations may be available at additional cost.
Good to Know:
You will fly into Rome. We will help you with transportation to the country house and the return (the more people arriving together, the cheaper the transport, so please check in with us before booking your flight). The cost of transfer to and from the airport to the country house is not included in the cost of your stay.
The chef will spoil you with healthy and organic cuisine. Organic tomatoes, salad, aromatic herbs, and vegetables come from the kitchen garden. Olive oil from the olive grove, yogurt, cakes and homemade breads. In the finest traditions of Mediterranean cuisine, everything is organic. Can accommodate to most dietary restrictions. Wine and alcohol is available but not included.
